Christopher J Fullagar, M.D., Medical Director,  also Interim Director

​

          Dr. Fullagar attended medical school at the Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA.  He then went on to complete his Emergency Medicine Residency and EMS Fellowship at the SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY.  Dr. Fullagar has previously served as the medical director and flight physician of the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office- Air-1.  Dr. Fullagar has over 25 years of experience as a prehospital provider and remains actively involved in field delivery and oversight of basic and advanced medical care.  He is a certified instructor in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Hazmat Life Support. He has been Board Certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine since 2004 and holds a subspecialty Board Certification in Emergency Medical Services. He currently holds a faculty position in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Upstate Medical University and works clinically as an attending emergency physician. Dr. Fullagar has served on the Board of Trustees of the Air Medical Physicians Association, an international group of critical care transport medicine physicians, since 2008 and is currently the immediate Past President. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Emergency Physicians, the National Association of EMS Physicians, and the Air Medical Physicians Association.   Dr. Fullagar also holds a position on the Regional Medical Advisory Committee for Central New York EMS (CNYEMS) and is the Chair of the CNYEMS Regional Policy and Protocol Committee.  He is also the current Associate Chair of the New York State Collaborative EMS Protocol Committee.

Naveen Seth, M.D. - Associate Medical Director, also Board Member

           

            Dr. Seth is currently a board-certified Emergency Physician at Buffalo General Medical Center.  He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Chemistry, and attended medical and business school at Vanderbilt University.  After a year in internal medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle, he completed his residency at SUNY Buffalo.  An EMS fellowship brought him to the Syracuse area, after which he was the Associate Medical Director for the Emergency Department at Faxton St. Luke’s for nearly five years. Dr. Seth worked for Crouse for almost four years before his recent move back to Buffalo.  He has served as a Medical Director for WAVES/Minoa Ambulance since 2010.  He has subspecialty board certification in EMS.  Outside of his professional life, Dr. Seth is married and has a 2 ½ year old daughter.  He enjoys driving his mustang and he is a fan of NASCAR, the Miami Dolphins and the Orlando Magic.

Jeff Gancarz - Board Member

            Jeff started in the fire service on the Fire Brigade at Miller Brewing Company in Fulton, NY.  He was a line officer and also certified as a Level 1 HazMat member. He served with the Solvay FD in the mid 80’s before moving to Camillus and joining the Camillus FD. Jeff climbed the ranks from firefighter to Chief Officer. He, for many years, was their Juvenile Fire Safety Officer, for which he was twice honored as Firefighter of the year.  He has been a nurse since 1994 and received his national certification as an Anesthesia Tech. Jeff retired from Upstate Medical University Hospital where he worked in the O.R. for 20 years, 10 clinically and 10 administratively. He has a son, Eric, who is a FF/Paramedic at Fayetteville FD.  Eric is married and has 2 children.  Jeff also has a daughter, Amy, who is a Neuro Scientist.  Amy is also married with 2 children. Jeff is married to his wonderful wife, Kathleen and the currently have 2 fur babies.  He enjoys most sports but actively participates in golf and bowling. He is a diehard Red Sox and Syracuse Orange fan.
