Our Board of Directors

Roman Batyuk -  President

          

         Roman joined WAVES in 2005 and then attained certification as an EMT Basic.  He quickly became involved in many aspects of the agency, including Advisor to the Explorer Post and multiple positions on the Board of Directors.  He is one of the EMS volunteers that can boast having belonged to both the Fairmount Fire Department and the Camillus Fire Department.  Roman obtained his degree in Nursing, while simultaneously becoming a Paramedic.  He then continued on to become a Nurse Practitioner, practicing with St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center here in Camillus.

Mary Earl -  Vice President

           

           Mary graduated from LeMoyne College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and has been in banking for 19 years.  She is currently a Senior Branch Manager, Vice President at M&T Bank located at the North Syracuse location.  She has served on various non-profit boards throughout CNY through committees and Board of Director positions.  Mary is a 40 under forty recipient.  She has completed a full marathon and 5 half marathons

Diane Dwire - Treasurer

            

          Born and raised in Camillus, Diane served active duty during the Vietnam era from 1966-1973 in the US Army Nurse Corps. After returning home, she joined the reserves and in 1994 retired from the 376thCombat Support Hospital Reserve Unit as a Lieutenant Colonel.  She served a combined 24 years in the military. She then went on to enjoy a career with NYS Department of Health retiring after 27 years in March of 2003. Diane is a current member of the American Legion- Knifetown Post #1540, the Central Counties Professional Nurses Association, the Council on Legislation of the NYS Nurses Association, the Board of Directors of the Syracuse Metro League of Women Voters as Treasurer, CNY NOW board of Directors and the Onondaga and Camillus Democratic Committees. She served as a Camillus Town Councilor from 2002-2007.

James McDonald - Secretary

           

          Jim became an EMT in Summer of 1999 and joined WAVES in December of that year. He has been on the WAVES Board of Directors for many years and served on the Executive team as the Treasurer, Member at Large and Secretary.  In December of 2018, Jim retired from Welch Allyn where he was second in charge of the Medical Response Team.
